The Committee are holding an AGM of the McLaren Region Community Carols Association, with the intention of winding up the Association, as we will not be mounting another Carols event in the foreseeable future.
This meeting is called for:
Monday 15th May 2017 at 6pm
Tatachilla Lutheran College Performing Arts building
With winding up the Association comes with the need to clear the bank account and dispose of the funds as our Constitution directs. In Section 14 of our Constitution it says:
14. Application of Surplus Assets
If, after the winding up of the Association, there remains “surplus assets” as defined in the Act, such surplus assets shall be distributed to any organisation which has similar objects and has rules which prohibit the distribution of its assets and income to its members. Such organisation or organizations shall be identified and determined by a resolution of Members in general meeting.

The organising committee wants to let you know that it has reluctantly had to make the decision not to put on an event in 2015.
We would like to start planning our 2016 Carols event in February, but we need some more help on our committee: currently five people do the work of far more, but we’ll be able to get to work again if we can fill some blank spaces by February.
So, these are the positions we need to fill:
- Marketing and Publicity
- Sponsorship and Fundraising.
Because we’ve been going for so long there are well-established protocols and documents of all kinds, nobody has to reinvent the wheel, but we do need the help.
